Prescience

It’s already mid-year, and boy, where did the time go? “Very Busy at Work” is such an understatement–even at home I’m still doing work! But I’m not complaining (well, not now).

It’s quite satisfactory that I’ve been drawing a clearer picture of my future: where I want to go, what I want to do, and how to get enough support. Though I still have to figure out how to accomplish it all, my faith goes doubly hard at work, that these hopes and dreams shall blossom in their own graceful time.

Been dreaming the big dreams lately. Borrowing a concept from Palahniuk’s Rant, I may be in pursuit of a middle-class dream, but only so much more. It’s beyond money and class.

Everytime I wake up and roll lazy in bed, it’s what I think about. Sometimes, it’s even that something that I thought to have happened, only to realize it was part of my REM. At middle of work, I experience these blank zombie stares at the monitor, then snap out, and visit arts.ac.uk on Firefox. It’s more than just an obsession, I guess. It has become a doppleganger for my conscience.

But what exactly am I talking about?

I just want to go out there, and learn, learn, learn. And live.

In simpler terms: I am living now, but I feel like Stripe from Hope for the Flowers.

(How simple can that get, huh?)

I have this romantic idea of my future, as a past-forty y/o lady. It includes a small cafe in Malate, foolish young guns, and a baggage of world-weary pasts.

This may sound cryptic, but I think you get it.
