Lalijamboree is an anagram for the blogger’s first two given names, Maria Jobelle. Though she would like to think “Maria” is a nice, feminine (albeit common) name, it does not quite pair up well with “Jobelle”. Hence, the Great Mix-up of Names. Lalijamboree sounds a bit silly and slightly pretentious, but she likes it anyway.

She designs magazines during daytime (but more realistically, and often, during nighttime) and plays around with her cheap Inoxcrom fountain pen and Moleskine at night as well. She writes a copious lot in her journals but always, always wordless when writing material for publishing. She also loves to drink beer at night although at present, Lalijamboree is on a beer strike. She believes that she’s productive during early mornings (check out her office time card) but alas, churns out real work late in the afternoon until deep into the night. If you think Lalijamboree does a lot of activities at night, well then, she does believe that nighttime has more quality hours compared to daytime.

Lalijamboree indulges in local travel, mountaineering, and recently, wakeboarding because one doesn’t have to be a swimmer to be a wakeboarder. She’s also a vegetarian for almost five years (but occasionally pescu-vegetarian when presented with no option).

Lali enjoys her six hours of sleep, everyday.
